Ed Heitman has enjoyed building each custom designed home as though he was building it for his own family.
Fresh out of Austin College in 1980, Ed designed and built his first custom home as a part-time endeavor
while still building in the competitive commercial construction market of North Texas. Ed found the creativity
of custom home building far more unique and challenging than building Fire Stations, National Guard Armories and
Post Offices across Texas. Since that time, Ed has built well over 350 uniquely crafted custom designs for his clients, many of whom are
repeat customers and good friends.
Ed prides himself in working with clients that know and appreciate the difference between standard
construction practices in Texas and the valuable difference of designing a far superior product that costs
far less to heat/cool and maintain in the sometimes harsh Texas climate. “Our homes are suited to folks whose
priority is quality. They appeal to engineers and others who understand the reasons for building a far superior
product and the long-lasting savings that are realized by using durable, maintenance free, energy saving and
attractive components”.
Ed is among the first 50 Builders in Texas to attain the
NAHB Graduate Master Builder Certification.
In addition, over the past 30 years, Ed has attained certified expertise in
several construction technologies including Concrete Design and Function, Mixed
Climate Residential Construction Design, Energy Conservation Design, Homes
Designed for Full Access of the Disabled, Solar and Green Construction and
Minimum Site Impact Conservation Expertise from technical
schools all over the United States.
